Auctioneers Hall Of Fame Award
Joe Tadlock has been honored by his peers.
Joe has been awarded one of the highest forms of recognition available to Auctioneers.
Joe was inducted into the California Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame at the CSAA Convention last month in Las Vegas.
He was very surprised, and overwhelmed by the award.
Joe has been a Auctioneer for more than 30 years,he opperates a Auction gallery specializing in selling household items of all shapes sizes and values.
It is a family business that includes his 2 daughters, Crystal & Ivy. He conducts about 75 auctions per year. But he also uses his trade to help others.
Each year he donates his time to a charity auction for the Boy's & Girl's Club of Whittier. His recent efforts helped the group raise $59,400. He plays a similar role in the Host Lions Club's annual auction & wine tasting event.
Joe is past president of the CSSA and serves on it's board oof directors, a position he has held most of his auction career. He also has chaired a number of CSAA committee's, including the Fun Auction and Ethics and Professional Standards.
He is a member of the National Auctioneer Association. And is a gradute of the Certified Auctioneers Institute. He is a trustee for the Southern California Auctioneers Association.
Joe says his favorite part about being an Auctioneer is buying merchadise. But said the business also has brought him into contact with a wide array of business people, community leaders and heads of state.
His claim to fame that he once sold an item to President Gerald Ford, in Palm Springs.
"This business has opened a lot of avenues for me and I hope to do it until I'm 100," he said.
The California State Auctioneers Association is a professional organization for auctioneers that strives to promote professionalism, growth and competency in the auction profession, and to provide vision and leadership in the industry.
